Brett Brocato is a resident of Greenville and works as a mechanical engineer. He received his BS from Alabama and MS from North Carolina State University, both in mechanical engineering. He met his future wife Melanie while working as a nuclear fusion researcher, and later they relocated to her hometown of Greenville. He holds two engineering patents and was named by his company as “Inventor of the Year” in 2008.
Brett became a Christian in 2008, and he, his wife Melanie, and their four children attend Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Brett has served as a chaplain in a Christian scouting organization in 2019-2021 and has served on two short-term mission trips in Guatemala. In 2018, he sat on the by-laws committee of the Greenville Baptist Association. Brett was elected third vice-chairman of the Greenville County Republican Party in 2021.
