GREENVILLE, SC (August 14th, 2025) – Upstate Republicans will want to mark their calendars for the evening of Tuesday August 19th, when the Greenville County Republican Party (GCRP) brings First Circuit Solicitor David Pascoe – known for being tough on crime – back to Greenville for another corruption-exposing presentation. Pascoe, who was the honorary speaker at two previous GCRP business meetings, will once again be revealing his latest discoveries to the public at 6:30pm in the Wade Hampton High School Auditorium (100 Pine Knoll Dr, Greenville, SC 29609).
After two decades working for the people as a registered Democrat, on April 10, 2025, Solicitor Pascoe announced his switch to the Republican Party, stating that the Democrat party was now soft on violent crime and no longer matched his values when it came to criminal justice policies and other topics.
“True conservatives, and especially MAGA conservatives,” says GCRP Chairman Jeff Davis, “are fed up with corruption, whether it’s perpetrated by elected or appointed officials, or government employees. New Media journalists and DOGE have everyone realizing just how big a mess this country is in, and of course corruption is the evil root of the problems, and it exist not just in Washington DC, but right here in South Carolina,” Davis explains.
Pascoe, a magna cum laude graduate of The Citadel, began his career as an Assistant State Prosecutor in South Carolina’s Fifth Circuit. Since 2005. While at the SC Attorney General’s Office, Pascoe tried over 100 violent crime cases for the state. Pascoe has since served the state as its Solicitor for the First Judicial Court (Dorchester, Orangeburg and Calhoun Counties), having been elected to the position six times.
In 2014, Attorney General Wilson tapped Pascoe to head the famed “Statehouse Corruption Probe” targeting a former House Speaker and other legislators, which led to convictions, resignations and plea agreements involving multiple powerful lawmakers.
Solicitor Pascoe is now considering a 2026 run for South Carolina Attorney General. The current AG, Alan Wilson, has announced his run for Governor, which opens the AG position for the first time in 16 years.
“The evening of August 19th will be an eye-opening event for many in the Upstate and across South Carolina” says Chairman Davis, whose nonprofit organization, mySCGOP.news, has long been focused on government fraud and corruption. “Solicitor Pascoe truly works for The People of South Carolina, and believes they deserve ethical treatment and representation. Solicitor Pascoe will NAME NAMES, and we are truly honored to bring him back again to the upstate and appreciate his dedication to serving The People.”
