Greenville, SC (February 25, 2024) – Yesterday Greenville County voters along with voters in 45 other South Carolina counties cast their vote for the Republican nominee for President of the United States. A record 94,835 votes were cast in Greenville’s primary, almost one-third more than Horry County with 71,775 votes continuing our dominance of conservative voters in the state.

Former President Donald J. Trump won Greenville County with 57% of the vote. He also took the state of South Carolina with an overwhelming 59.8% of the vote. Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley received 39.5% of the vote statewide.

Yvonne Julian, Chairman of the Greenville County Republican Party, shared, “I’m so pleased that Greenville County Republican voters turned out in such strong numbers to support the “First in the South” Presidential primary. We are thrilled to see this win for President Trump!”

Both Trump and Haley have crisscrossed the state for many weeks rallying voters. While Haley traveled the state in a large RV, Trump Force One landed in several locations for large gatherings of supporters eager to show their enthusiasm for the former president. Trump garnered the support of most elected officials throughout the state and won 43 of 46 counties. He also had endorsements from 15 current and former South Carolina Sheriffs. His son Donald Jr. and daughter in law Lara Trump had campaigned for him in Charleston and Beaufort.

Even with Haley’s PAC Stand For America encouraging both Republicans as well as Democrats to vote in South Carolina’s open Republican primary conservative MAGA voters of South Carolina showed up in strong numbers and gave Haley her 4th consecutive state primary loss in 2024.
